A Letter To The Person Who Has Not Had Luck After Graduation
Trust the process.
Dear reader,
I know it is difficult seeing all of these people on social media saying that they are excited about what their next chapter holds. Many of them have gotten job offers, gotten into grad school, or are just succeeding.
I know some of you are happy for them but some are not. And sometimes you wonder why it is that it seems as if you haven't had that kind of luck.
I want you to know that every single person has a different path to follow. They have had different situations thrown at them, a life that is far from being similar to yours, and honestly, they may have resources that you don't have. But I want you to know that you can be just as qualified as those that seem to be more successful than you.
Instead of sitting there and wondering where you went so wrong, you need to do double, triple the amount of work to get you where you want to be. Whether that is spending a whole day filling out applications or even going in person to find out more about a position. Anything that makes you seem desperate or weird is what is needed for you to stand out from the crowd and get what it is that you deserve.
You also have to remember, because we all tend to fall into this trap, that nobody is going to make you do it. It is you who has the power to bring about change into your situation. You have the power to create the life that you want. Everybody can give you all of the advice in the world, you can watch thousands of motivational videos that make you want to get up out of your seat, but, in the end, it is you who has the power over these different situations. You need to make it happen.
Now, if you happen to be doing everything you can, just know that something out there is waiting for you. You just need to be patient, continue to work hard and never, ever get discouraged.
I believe in you.
