PCD. Post Christmas Depression. For weeks (or even months) leading up to Christmas, there has been such a big buildup all in anticipation of one day. Then, in seemingly a few hours, it's all gone for another 10 months. A central part of my personality is my love (which may be unhealthy) for all things Christmas. Whether you look at it from the religious aspect, the commercial aspect, the family aspect, on any other way, a good portion of the United States celebrates the holiday in one way or another. For some, it's still technically Christmas, but it's hard not to miss the holly, jolly spirit that tends to fill the air before the holiday. Never fear! There is so much waiting for you in the next few months that it will be no time before you're in the festive mood all over again.

January

Hey, new year new you. Most resolutions are broken by February but that means that January is your month to shine. You'll be so distracted being your best self this month will be over in no time.

February

It's a short month anyway and you can do anything for 28 days. Plus, right in the middle, there's Valentine's day. You can take the time to spoil your significant others or have a good old fashioned palentine's day. Either way, February will be over before you can even say I love you.

March

Spring has sprung! As the weather starts to get a bit better and everything begins to blossom, you'll leave those winter blues behind. Generally spring break falls in here, so shoutout to a random week of getting to spoil yourself rotten.

April & May

Not gonna lie. These may be the months that are the most difficult. There's not too much going on in way of big holidays, you've got to do taxes and/or finals, and you're just dragging, buuuuuut never fear because soon comes....

June, July, & August

SUMMER! Sun tans, good music, and sno cones. This is the only acceptable time to not have Christmas on the mind because you're too busy takin in some rays and living your best life. (Although there's certainly nothing wrong with a little Christmas in July). There's less stress which means more time for fun and sleep. As we all know, these three months are gone as quickly as they've come.

September

So, truth is, I'm a bit biased. September is when my birthday is so that's a big focus, but it's also back to school. This may not seem like a good thing but school hasn't gotten into the full swing yet and you still get to see your friends everyday. September flies by and is gone in the snap of a finger.

October

I'm not really a Halloween sort of girl, but I understand that many people are so that's a pretty good distraction for the month. Spooky movies, cute costumes, and yummy candy all await you at the end of the month so as you wait in anticipation for that, the wait for Christmas isn't a conscious thought until the month is already over

November

AAAAAALMOST THERE! Depends on your level of Christmas love whether or not December marks the beginning of Christmas festivities. If not, never fear. It is still a time to be thankful and know that you're blessed with all that you have. You get a nice little break with the holiday and by the time you're back it's the end of the month and November has faded lickety split.

December

CHRISTMAS BABY!! You've done it. You've made it through the trials of the year and it is officially time for the most wonderful time of the year once more. And that, my friends, is how you survive throughout the year in anticipation of Christmas.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Whether you met your new love interest online, through mutual friends, or another way entirely, you'll definitely want to know what you're getting into. Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
