Week 5 just ended, but something about this spring semester has just been exhausting. There's been a pile up of homework, projects, papers, and exams coming at you and it's not even midterms yet. On top of all your work, everything else you're involved with has been adding up too and this semester has just become too much. Here are some tips to surviving this wild semester slump you may be finding yourself in:
1. Nap.
Treat yo' self to a nap. Rest up and catch up on sleep and you will feel so much better.
2. Have a bottle of wine, or two.
Unwind with a cheap bottle of wine and just relax.
3. Take a weekend trip.
Plan a weekend trip with some friends just to get away. Even if it's somewhere close, just go exploring and have some fun. A change of enviornment could be really good for you.
4. Take a trip home.
Sometimes you just need to go home and see your mom. Honestly, seeing her makes everything better.
5. Organize your life.
Organize your planner, make a to do list and stay on top of everything. Getting organized can really help you feel like you've got it all figured out.
6. Treat yourself to some retail therapy.
Get together with your friends or even just go by yourself and hit the malls to indulge in some retail therapy. Find some good sales and treat yo self. You're sure to be feeling better after a trip out.
7. Keep attending your classes.
It's so easy to start skipping classes when you're feeling down or overwhelmed, but whatever you do, just keep going. Once you start skipping you won't be able to stop and then it'll be finals and you will have to teach yourself a whole semester worth of work.
8. Form study groups and change your study habits.
Finding people to study with, changing your habits or changing your study location could help you get out of that slump and really start studying and working better.
9. Just cry it out.
Sometimes you just need to cry and let it all out to feel better.
10. Surrond yourself with good friends.
Surrond yourself with good friends who will be there to support you, motivate you and love you when you need.
11. Keep your head up and keep going.
Remember, everything will be okay and you can do this. Even if it seems like it won't be, trust me everything will work out. You're strong and you got this.
