As many of you may have recently seen, the most recent Gerber Baby that was chosen is sweeping the nation. 18-month-old, Lucas, is a little ball of cuteness and energy, and he has Down syndrome. In recent years, companies have begun to have more inclusive adds.
Target, McDonalds, Fisher-Price, and more are finally beginning to understand the importance of acceptance and inclusion. It's a jump forward, but there's still such a ways to go. You may think "what can I do?", but there are so many ways to get involved.
Simple advocacy can change your way of life and affect so many around you. On top of that, there are many individuals with Down syndrome who have followed their dreams and made them a reality.
