I hardly ever burn, but this summer I did. I got sun poisoning on vacation. I used every single one of these methods multiple times a day and I felt fine after about 3 days and peeled for about a week. Remember, I had sun poisoning. If you're reading this and you have a regular sun burn, you'll heal faster than I did.
Lavender
Lavender is great to use for any kind of burn. Lavender oil is fine, but if you can find a moisturizer with it in it that'd be best. Lavender also makes you very calm so it allows you relax and feel more comfortable.
SunBurnt aloe
SunBurnt is a brand and I use it for not only sun burns, but for curling iron/ flat iron burns. It takes the pain away within a minute or 2 and heals the burn so fast. It’s also non sticky so you don’t have a gross feeling all over your hands, body, or even clothes.
Cold compress
The first few days of my sunburn, I had a cold compress on my chest, face, and shoulders. The best thing for bigger surfaced burns, is to damp a rag/ towel and put it in the freezer. If you have smaller burns, just get some ice and put it on there.
Tan extender with aloe
The brand I use is Ocean Potion. It’s a tan extender with a moisturizer and aloe in it. So not only am I healing my sun burn, but I’m also working on my tan at the same time.
Wear loose clothes
Wearing loose clothes can allow your skin to breathe. You want your skin to be able to be as free as possible. Along with wearing loose clothes, don't wear clothes that you know will make you sweat or irritate your skin. The more your skin is free the better off you'll be.
