Review of episode 3 of the Gilmore Girls revival! Getting close to end, I don't want it to end 😩

Not sure how I felt about the whole pool scene....

April's ineptitude at the pop culture references Lorelai is spewing left and right definitely made me chuckle a bit

Oh Logan, cute as ever. This whole Odette thing really really sucks.... Rory, you should not be okay being the other woman! You deserve better.

Air conditioning in the Town Hall meetings! What a novel idea. (I'm pretty sure this is a throw back to the old series where the cast all commented how the Town Hall Meeting scenes were the worst because it was so hot and they took forever!)

The 30 something gang? Really? I did like the little crack at the sensitivity of some young people now a days.

Stars Hollow: The Musical? I am skeptical. Seems like something Taylor would cook up though so I guess it's par for the course.

The composer/director seems a bit creepy to me! The "white walker" comment was totally valid.

Sophie is volunteering to be part of the musical advisory committee? Since when did she get involved in anything?? I always thought she was just the curmudgeonly grumpy lady who ran the music shop. Definitely didn't seem the type to be part of a committee.

Okay so who are these boys who are holding umbrellas for Lorelai and Rory??? Just random kids from the neighborhood?

Is it just me or are there more musical parts in the revival as a whole? I don't remember this much music in the original series. Just the La la musical cues and the random song played that a character was listening to. Definitely not a whole scene set to music....

Pop tarts! Can't have a Gilmore Girls revival without at least a few pop tarts.

what in the world is going on here? This is just a weird start to a musical. But I'm keeping an open mind.

Ahhhh this is crazy! This miscommunication between Luke and Lorelai is so frustrating! This is what happened in the original series, they didn't tell each other everything they should have and ended up breaking up because of it.

Ugh the song!! It was really good but not what Gilmore is about. I'm curious what made them decide to bring so much music into the revival....

Of the three I have reviewed so far, this was probably my least favorite....I was unimpressed by the Stars Hollow musical as a whole, even though it was definitely something that would happen in Stars Hollow. The whole thing was a little disjointed in my opinion, but still it was an episode that we never really planned for so I can't really rate it less than 5... so I will say 5 out of 10 pop tarts!
