Almost everyone loves summer time. Beach vacations, car rides with the windows down and pool days. There are many fun activities for almost everybody to enjoy in the heat!

1. Cruises with your best friends

One of the absolute most fun things to do is go on a car ride with the people you love with the most! Find a road, roll your windows down and play your favorite songs on full volume. This is one of the best things you can in the summer when the sun is setting for as long as you want.

2. Music Concerts/Festivals

If you're a lover of music, find a friend just like you. Concerts are always the best in the summertime. Grab your favorite summer outfit, music buddy and hit the road to go to a concert and have some fun in the sun.

3. Pool Parties

Who doesn't love swimming when the sun is blazing hot? Pool parties, or even going to a lake or pond is the best way to beat the heat. Apply sunscreen, (unless you don't burn easily), grab some fruit and water and hit the pool for the day!

4. Tie Dye

Have a plain white shirt? or even shorts or a headband? Go to the store and grab your favorite tie-dye colors and start making your own clothes. Tie Dye is one of the most fun and simplest things you can do when you're just sitting at home looking for something fun to do.

5. Cook-outs

Food made outside always tastes the best in summer. Have your best friends, and even family members out for dinner and grill out. Hamburgers and hotdogs are always a must to have at these! Throw in a little fruit and some dips and you're all set

6. Paint Fight

One of the most unusual fights, but the best. Fill up water guns and balloons with paint. This is a great way to have fun, and it makes for super cute artsy pictures after!

7. Hiking Trips

Not everybody loves to walk, but you can make it. Find a trail close to where you live and grab a group of friends. You can find the coolest scenery and take super cute pictures to always have with you

8. Camping

Camping is one of the best things you can do with friends or family. If you have a camper, great. If you just have tents, that's just as great. Go to any place you want that you can camp at, and make the most of it. Camping close to a lake is always better because you will get to swim all day in the sun and then sit out at a campfire by the lake that night. (you'll also get to see the stars)

9. Movie nights outside

Plan a night one night with your closest friends and set up a screen outside. You can hook up a projector watch your favorite movies on a big screen and have the joy of being outdoors

10. Bike rides

Grab your bikes and don't even bother pulling up a GPS. Start riding your bike and go for as long as you want! Plan on stopping for ice-cream or drinks at least sometime during the day! Bike rides can be peaceful and might just be what you need for the day.

Summertime is one of the best times of the year. Make the best of it and do what makes you happy. You don't always have to take pictures to remember all of the fun times you had!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
