10 Songs You Should Have On Your Road Trip Playlist

Summer vacation has arrived! Everyone’s leaving college, and soon (hopefully!) everyone will be going on some sort of road trip. Road trips can be super boring if you don’t have the right atmosphere. So here are some songs that, in my opinion, will keep you pumped up as you roll down that highway. (These are in no particular order and the songs come from multiple genres.)

"Hello" - Adele

Because who doesn’t want to try and hit those high notes sitting at a stoplight next to some older couple?

"That’s My Kind of Night" - Luke Bryan

I mean...it’s Luke Bryan. This song is fun and upbeat, and even if country isn’t your favorite thing in the world, I guarantee you will be singing something about a catfish dinner once it’s over.

"Formation" - Beyonce

With all the original controversy surrounding it, why wouldn’t you want it on your playlist? Kidding, Beyonce absolutely kills it in this song. I got hot sauce in my bag too, Bey. #Slay

"Sugar We’re Goin’ Down" - Fall Out Boy

Songs from the early 2000s should always be included in any playlist... Ever. Even if you didn’t really listen to this kind of music back then, there’s no doubt that you at least know some portion of this song. I mean, how could you not?

"Work (Remix)" - DJ Taj

I’m not really a fan of continuous repetition, so it’s funny that I put this song on here. Even if you’re not a huge fan of club remixes, I haven’t seen one person yet that hasn’t moved even a little bit to the beat.

"All Star" - Smashmouth

One of the ultimate throwbacks. Does this even need an explanation?

"Ride With Me" - Nelly

Enough said.

"Take a Back Road" - Rodney Atkins

There's no better road trip song than a song that talks about, well... Taking a back road. Nothing wrong with puttin' a little gravel in your travel, right Rodney?

"Country Grammar" - Nelly

Nelly was one of the biggest rappers in the 2000s. Hence, the reason why he's on here twice. Two songs from the same album? Oh, yeah. Maybe this one needs to be censored for little ears, but even then it's still great.

"Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" - Backstreet Boys

Last, but most certainly not least, a classic from a 90s boy band. Seriously, what's a playlist without a 90s boy band? Not a good one. Any Backstreet Boys song (NSYNC too) is worthy of these playlists. Make sure you beef up your soundtrack with these as well.

Whether you use one, two, or none at all, keep them in the back of your mind when you're drawing a blank on what to listen to. I hope you all thoroughly enjoy your summers and any adventures you might go on.

Always remember to please drive safely and responsibly. Wear a lot of sunscreen, stay hydrated and have fun!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
