So our summer has come and gone, these past four months have literally flown by. As much as I've written about being excited to return to my second home, it's crazy to think that I'll be back so soon. My summer has been filled with amazing memories and friends, food to crave constantly (that's not the most healthy thing I could eat), and throwback music. Not to mention that I worked my first official job, besides all of the training I've done for the Rutgers OIT Computer Labs.
But, the best part? Each and every one of the things I've done is compressed into a memory, most of which come with pictorial evidence that it occurred. I mean, I have to prove that I have the absolute best friends somehow right? Can't have people thinking I'm a loner. *psh*
Those memories, especially those with photos, have taken up so much space on my phone that I needed to make space. To do so, I didn't want to just delete them or back up my phone, potentially wasting more space on my laptop (I'm annoying like that *cheeky smile*). With multitasking at its finest, as I thought of ways to preserve these photos, I was also cleaning out my room, determining what to take back to Rutgers/what to get rid of, and found the polaroid photo printer I ordered from Amazon last semester. Having not used it too much since, I had plenty of film left and got set to printing a few of my favorite photos.
I have not printed many as of this article, but that is only due to the fact that the rest of my film is neatly tucked away with the stuff I never unpacked. I have about six polaroids printed and ready to be hung in my dorm, with five out of six of those photos being from an impromptu photo shoot that I had at a sleepover with my friends.
At the moment, there are about two or three blanks left in the printer, just waiting to be used. Whatever photos I end up printing at a later date, I know will be able to bring up some amazing memories. For now though, I'll just have to deal with the ones I have and look forward to the fact that this new year at Rutgers will only bring more memories and even more polaroids.
With love, Arielle :)
