It's the time of year when everybody is on tour and you can't afford tickets for everyone, you can barely afford tickets for one, but you try to go to as many concerts as you can. Because what's more fun than a concert in the middle of summer? Concerts are all about letting go and having fun with a bunch of strangers you can immediately connect with on at least one thing you know you have in common. They're about losing yourself in the music and not worrying about anything around you for a few hours. With that being said, the outfit you wear can be super important. It has to be comfortable but you're going to be meeting and coming in contact with a ton of people so you want to look your best, as well. Here are a few ideas for the perfect concert outfit.

1. Simple and laid-back

If you know your show is going to be hot and outdoors or if you're the type of person that sings, dances, and lets completely loose at concerts, opt for a loose, comfortable T-shirt with a pair of high-waisted shorts so you can tuck it in and not have to worry about any malfunctions. Put on tennis shoes and keep your jewelry minimal.

2. Match the artist

Find an iconic outfit worn by the artist, or just one that you like and matches your style, and put your own spin on it.

3. Flannel and a graphic tee

I know what you're thinking, how original to wear a flannel around your waist to a concert. But, it's practical. With black jeans a white T-shirt it can bring color to your outfit and make it look more put together. More importantly, it's light enough that it won't be a bother around your waist and warm enough that when it gets chilly towards the end of the concert, it'll keep you warm enough for the long walk back to your car.

4. For the chilly summer concerts

Unfortunately, summer can be unpredictable in some places and you have to work around it. Jeans, ankle booties, and a floral kimono over a tank top will keep you warm enough, be loose enough that you won't sweat through it, and still be eye-catching, perfect for the rare, chilly, summer concerts.

5. For the hot summer concerts

Loose, comfortable shorts, a lightweight crop top, and sandals will keep you cool during all those concerts in the heat. Opt for sandals with a back so you're sure not to lose your shoe in the midst of dancing and the crowd!

6. Leather jacket and a T-shirt dress

If you're not the type for jumping or dancing and the concert will be a little cold, grab a leather jacket and your favorite T-shirt dress with a pair of ankle booties. You'll look great and still be comfortable.

7. Black high-waisted shorts and a floral crop top

This is something you can move in, something cute, and something that will keep you cool in the summer. You can also modify it for different concerts, such as brighter colors for a pop concert and darker or faded colors for a rock concert.

8. Relaxed rock concert

Again, an option for those chilly concerts. You can never go wrong with boyfriend jeans, tennis shoes, a leather jacket, and a black and white shirt. You'll look great without looking like you tried too hard.

9. A skirt and a denim jacket

A light denim shirt can serve the same purpose as a flannel in keeping you warm when the sun goes down and being out of the way until then. Avoid denim on denim by wearing it with a leather skirt. Dress the outfit up with ankle booties and a cute floral tank top.

10. Artist merch

When in doubt, wear something that represents the artist! If you're a big fan you can wear a shirt you already have or wear a simple tank top, buy a shirt at the venue, and put it on beforehand.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
