When you make the decision to take summer classes, usually you are only thinking about one thing...getting closer to graduation. But, taking these classes means that you don't really get a break from campus, so there is a cycle of emotions every student faces when they are taking summer classes...and they look kinda like this.
1. First, you look back on the experience that is finals week
Let's be honest, everything about finals sucks... in every way possible.
2. Then, you realize that the end of finals means that the semester is really over
Dobby is a free elf! Yay!!!!
3. Now, it is time to celebrate
It is time to par-tay!!!!
4. The feeling of relief is real
No more 8 a.m. classes, just fun and sun.
5. But those two weeks of freedom are short-lived because now it's time for the start of summer semester
*Buys cheap bottle of red wine to drown sorrows in*
6. The mourning process can be difficult
The loss of your summer vacation is difficult, so use any means necessary in order to overcome.
7. Slowly, you start to accept your decision
Just keep telling yourself that this is helping you reach your goal of graduation.
8. But you still have serious FOMO every time your friends send pics of their awesome vacations
Like you are happy for them, but at the same time....you hate them.
9. Slowly but surely, you persevere through the semester
Literally, it sucks.
10. Finally, you see the light at the end of the tunnel and you have reached the final weeks of the summer semester
You've almost made it....just keep telling yourself that.
