At last, it is finally summer break. Everyone is posting pictures at the beach or Disney World. But here you are, writing 10 pages worth of notes for class. The option to take a class in the summer is a good idea if you're double majoring or minoring and you want to cut some hours off of the regular school year. But honestly it can be a pain. Whether it be on campus or online, it's not the favorite thing to do in the summer. It is beneficial for your goals in the long run if you have to sacrifice a summer of fun to study a month longer than other schoolmates.
Here is what taking a summer class is like as told by Alex Russo from "Wizards of Waverly Place."
1. Signing up for summer classes thinking it is a great idea
2. The facial expressions people make when you tell that you are taking a summer class
3. Doing as much as possible during your one week of summer
4. Trying to relax during the "summer break" but remembering that you have school
5. Thinking that you should have taken it online instead
6. In order to learn everything in a month, you are assigned to read one chapter a day
7. There's 40 pages in one chapter
8. Seeing all your friends having so much fun without you
9. Listening to a professor talk for 2 hours instead of 50 minutes
10. Sympathizing with friends that are taking summer classes too
11. Studying for a test/exam every week isn't fun
12. The class covered so many topics in just one week
13. Reminding yourself that in just a few weeks it will all be over
