Now that warm weather is right around the corner, it's finally time to add some stylish, new articles of clothing to your closet! Summer 2018 is all about essential pieces that have slight embellishments or a subtle change in style that makes a piece modern, yet classic. Here are some of my favorite summer wardrobe must-haves.

1. Choker Style Two-Piece Set

Two-piece sets have recently become the new trend and just about everyone is quickly jumping on board. These outfits are typically made up of a crop top and bottoms which consist of either shorts or a skirt. Both top and bottom pieces usually match one another in color or pattern. Outfits such as these can be worn on any casual day or dressed up for a barbeque or special event.

Being that both two-piece sets and choker necklaces are the latest fad, why not mix the two?! The high choker neckline adds dimension to the outfit and makes the piece trendy and tasteful.

2. High-Waisted Bikini

I was honestly a little mortified with last year's trend of thong-like bikinis, but luckily, 2018 is bringing in the look of high-waisted bathing suit bottoms. This trend makes the average bikini a little more up-to-date, without straying too far away from the classic look. This type of bathing suit is also a great transition piece and/or replacement for women who are more comfortable in one-pieces and like being a little bit more covered.

3. Wrap Sundress

My all-time favorite aspect of summer is being able just to pick any dress out of your closet, throw it on, and walk out the door. It makes life super easy by saving you time and yet you still look and feel absolutely adorable. Wrap sundresses add a little bit more detail to just any old basic sundress. The bow at the midsection draws attention to your curves and extenuates your waist.

4. Embellished Slide-On Sandal

In today's day and age, more and more women seem to want wardrobe essentials that are fashionable, yet very low-maintenance when it comes to time. These modern sandals are slide-on. They're easy, yet are embellished with beading to make any outfit stand out.

5. Delicate Marble Bracelet

This delicate marble bracelet is the perfect accessory to wrap up and complete any type of summer attire. It matches just about everything and adds the perfect amount of glamour to any type of style — whether it is extremely edgy or classic and simple.

6. Pastel Colored Romper

Rompers have always been one of my favorite wardrobe pieces due to the fact that I always feel airy and light when I am in them. This pastel patterned look can be easily dressed up or down with whatever accessories you choose to go with it.

7. Detailed Jean Shorts

Jean shorts will always be a major aspect of summer style, yet this year, the focus is more on jean shorts with slight detailing. Whether it's lace, embroidery, or even sewn on fabrics, any type of small attribute makes simple shorts into something more present and fashion-forward.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
