Why is it just now that there are shows out there that are talking about the importance of suicide? Suicide has always been an important topic and always will be.
Be a light for someone today that is in the dark. Live your dreams and don’t let anyone live out your dreams for you. There is more to life. In life, there is more "why not's" than "why's." A popular quote on Season 2 of 13 Reasons Why. Why does a topic have to erode so much for it to get the attention it needs?
Everyone has a story to live out and everyone's story is different and unique. No matter how bad today was, tomorrow always is brighter because tomorrow is a new day.
High school sucks — we can probably all agree on that. I cant answer the why to this question because the answer will be different for every person. One thing I can say is that life after high school is better.
There are many controversial topics about the first and second seasons of 13 Reasons Why. I don’t want to go on a rampage and despise the show, but I would like to say thank you for making this a reality so people wake up from this tabooed topic. I lived in this scene in high school, when the four years I went, every year there was someone that died of suicide and many more that were affected by it.
Suicide is not a fun topic to talk about. Most people don’t talk about it because it’s uncomfortable and scary. Suicide is a stigma that needs to stop. But that’s why it is good to talk about it. We shouldn’t avoid this topic or any topic about mental illness.
