Lately, I've been having severe writer's block and I have no idea why.

Maybe it's because finals week and moving out of college made me exhausted both mentally and physically. Not to mention the stressors of freshman year have certainly taken a toll on me in general.

And I am sure that I am not the only one.

I am so incredibly thankful to be apart of the odysseys community and to have this opportunity to write about what I care about. But sometimes I feel like I write about topics that I am not passionate about in order to just have an article in.

But there are also many things you can do to help you feel more inspired when you feel like you have nothing to write about.

The truth is, if you're feeling uninspired, take a break. This will allow you to refresh your mind for new ideas to flow in and out of your brain.

Lately, I've been spending quite a lot of time outside and grounding myself. And I've been feeling quite a lot better about feeling so uninspired to write.

Listen to Music

Listening to music lyrics can allow you to find something that you relate too. Likewise, you can try to listen to a new artist in order to get some new content to inspire you to write.

Take a Trip

Go somewhere. Go anywhere. A trip doesn't have to be to a far away destination for it to inspire you.

Spend Time With People

The memories you make with friends certainly make for great stories that you can write about. Not to mention, your friends are a great source of inspiration.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
