I'll be the first one to admit that I have a sugar addiction, as embarrassing as it is for me to say. I'm well aware that it's a dangerous, unhealthy addiction (as most are), but I haven't been able to kick sugar out of my life completely.

Did you know that once you become addicted to sugar, your brain recognizes it as a reward, fueling our craving for more? I'm actually not sure if I really have a full blown sugar addiction or if I just really, really like sugar, but if you're like me, you'll point at the list below and immediately shout "That's me! I do that, too!"

So, my sugar-addicted friend, let's see how many of these are actually 100 percent "you!"

1. When you're in the supermarket and you pass by the candy/cookie/sweets aisle.

The hunger is REAL.

2. When you're out to eat and your friends ask if you want dessert.

Is that even a real question?

3. When you're all done with that dessert and you still want more.

That went by way too quickly. I need a do-over.

4. When your friend stops eating their dessert and it's just sitting there all delicious on the table.

You gonna finish that or nah?

5. You always say that you have a second stomach just for desserts.

Even if I'm full from a meal, I'll always find room for dessert!

6. You make unnecessary stops while driving to pick up some sweets.

Oh, there's a CVS coming up, I'll just stop in for some Twinkies on my way...

7. When your friends try to tell you to pass on the sweets this time.

FIND NEW FRIENDS. Wait, no, that's the sugar talking. They're cool. Keep 'em.

8. When you're doing homework after downing some kind of sugary energy drink.

Let's push my typing into MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE!

Oh, it's so painful how much we feel each other here, dear reader. Let's kick these cravings soon!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
