Oh, the joys that finals week offers. Everyone is on edge and sleep deprived, while visions of getting home for winter break dance in our heads. Below are the ten stages that come to mind when studying for finals, as told by Carrie Bradshaw:
1. "I still have so much time. I’m not worried.”
The best stage to be in because it’s the most stress-free.
2. “I’ll just start tomorrow.”
Because today is my last day I won’t feel guilty binge-watching Netflix.
3. “I really should’ve started earlier.”
The realization that maybe your teacher was right when she recommended you start at least a week ahead of time.
4. “It’s time to cram.”
The worst stage to be in because you start to realize what a horrible mistake you've made.
5. “Wait...my exam is tomorrow??”
And the “freaking out” begins...
6. “I'm gonna have to pull an all-nighter for this one."
I can memorize these 8 chapters by tomorrow…right?!
7. “I’m too tired to study anymore.”
Because that 5th cup of coffee is miraculously starting to wear off and my eyes are barely staying open.
8. “I give up.”
Simply put: “I wasn’t getting an A in this class anyway.”
9. “I’ll just hope for the best.”
Praying that your professor decides to give you an early holiday gift by curving the final exam.
10. Walking out of the exam not caring whether you just killed it, or failed miserably.
Because who cares...it's over. You did it, and its time to celebrate.
