Alright, folks, it's time to get down to the wire. You're in that last push before Winter Break and there are only a few weeks until you're homeward bound for Thanksgiving, so the odds are that you're up to your ears in essays, projects, and tests. I sure know that I am. Since it feels as though all I've done for the past month is sit at my desk and study, I've compiled a few tips to make your experience a little less miserable.
1. Candles are your friend.
Studying is a lot more enjoyable when your room smells delicious.
2. Chocolate is a necessity.
According to Mind Blowing Facts, "Eating chocolates before studying and or taking tests increases your chances of understanding information and passing with a high grade."
3. Listen to calming music.
Studying is a lot easier with some background music of your choice. Classical or acoustic music is my usual choice because it calms me down and enables me to focus.
4. Make your desk your kind of aesthetic.
The more you enjoy your environment, the less you'll hate studying. If you make your desk beautiful, the less you'll mind spending hours upon hours sitting at it.
5. The right pens make all the difference.
Ever in a studying slump? I suggest you head to Target and buy yourself some brand new pens. There are few things more exciting than a 24 pack of flare pens... O.K., that's a slight exaggeration...
8. Caffeine is key.
A girl with a textbook and a cup of coffee in her hand is prepared to conquer the world.
7. Get creative with your notes.
Making creative study guides and taking notes in artistic ways will help you retain the information you're studying. Oddly enough, this makes studying super relaxing because you're doodling and color coordinating. This is actually my absolute favorite way to study.
So there you have it, seven ways to make studying a little more fun and a little less excruciating. Now stop procrastinating and get to work!
