New year, new you? Let's be honest, who actually keeps with resolutions? I don't... usually. BUT here are some easy ones college students can handle.
1. Be committed to your classes
If you're anything like me, then you are guilty of just going through the motions of class. Engage, take notes, this is your future so take control of it!
2. For every dollar you spend on dollar night at the bar, take half and put it away.
College is about learning how to budget, and while we all love thirsty Thursday's, there will probably be a point when you need those rainy day dollars.
3. Don't drunk text the ex
Easier said than done right?
4. Fill your gas tank up all the way
Yeah yeah we all just want to put $5 in a call it a day
5. Say less mean things
Be the drunk nice girl that wants to be everyone's best friend, but sober.
6. Drink more water
Water is good for you skin, so less zits (T God), good for your body, good for losing weight.
WIN WIN WIN
7. Journaling
Keep a journal, your 20's are all about finding yourself and that comes with a lot of undefined feelings. Journaling keeps your mind clear and helps you understand your feelings.
Maybe even cause less "crazy girlfriend freak outs."
8. G.S.N.L
Probably some of the most underrated college tasks; gym, study, nap, laundry. Making time for these tasks are as difficult as getting up for your Friday 9:30, so let's aim for 2 out of these 4.
9. If it won't matter in 5 years don't stress about it for more than 5 minutes
College is 4 years of non-stop stress; why add to it with things that won't matter in 5 years? Will you care in 5 years that your BFFs didn't invite you out that one friday night? Probably not. So let it go, and watch a movie instead.
10. Find your person
So pulling the famous "you're my person" quote from Grey's Anatomy, find someone you feel like you can tell anything and everything to. No not your silly boyfriend, a gal pal. Us girls we need someone who understands our awful and annoying qualities because if they can put up with them they will ever let you settle for a boy who doesn't.
