Working in a customer service job, such as a barista at a cafe, requires so much patience. Honestly, I’m surprised that I haven’t ripped my hair out yet. I understand that people may be having a bad day, but some customers are just unbelievable.

1. Having to force a smile on your face at eight in the morning

2. Having to deal with rude customers who try to tell you that you’re doing your job incorrectly

3. This is just a one-time occurrence, but having to deal with high/drunk customers who buy a bunch of food for their “munchies” and proceed to throw their blunt on the counter

4. Having to deal with customers who pay for everything in coins

5. Customers try to talk to you about their life problems when there are people waiting in line behind them

6. People telling you about their “life-threatening” food allergy after you make their whole order

7. Customers asking you to list every single food that is popular, but they pick one that you never listed

8. Regulars explicitly asking for a discount every single time they come just because they have a “good” relationship with the owner

9. When you warn a customer that a beverage is hot, but blame you and threaten to sue you after they spill it on themselves

10. People throwing their money on the table and make you feel like trash

11. When they tell you that they want their pastry steaming hot then proceed to yell at you for making it too hot

People in customer service have definitely seen their bad days, but at the end of the day, it makes you grateful when you’re on the receiving end as a customer. Treat people who work in customer service (and people in general) with respect!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
