Before spring break begins you compile an endless list of everything you want to do over break. From sleeping in late every day to catching up with high school friends. Yet, none of this seems to ever work out. There is just not enough time in that single week to do everything you plan to do. In the end, spring break can be a struggle.
1. That professor that gives you extra homework.
One week of break means there's nothing you would rather do than spend that time doing homework.
2. Finding yourself too lazy to go out and do stuff.
Thinking about making plans, but man is my couch a better place to be at.
3. Planning on being productive over break.
Those internship applications and projects you planned to do over break are still exactly how you left them when you come back to school.
4. Working out more and start eating better.
Those days on campus where you decide to eat a pint of ice cream for dinner and think that you'll make it up by eating better over break, not happening.
5. Going on road trips.
Talking endlessly with your best friend about going on a road trip here and there, but instead you end up back at one of your houses watching television.
6. Catching up on sleep.
Over break this means staying up even later procrastinating and then waking up early to your sister blasting the television downstairs.
7. Checking in.
If you go home for break suddenly your parents want to know where you are going and send you texts to see if you are okay.
8. Going back to being told to do chores.
At school no one reminds you to do the laundry or clean the bathroom (well there's communal bathrooms so you never have to worry about that), you just do your laundry when you feel like it.
9. Thinking about all the work you will have to do when you get back from break.
The dread of all the work you have to do when you get back is always in the back of your mind.
10. Still craving a vacation after spring break.
When spring break is over there is still so much you wish you could have done, but never got to do. You almost need another vacation after this vacation.
