Coffee. It's the first thought I have when I wake up, and it stays in my head for the majority of the day. First waking up? Coffee. Have a slight headache at any point during the day? Coffee. Need something to sip on while I hate myself in the library? Coffee. The liquid magic is the answer to 99% of my questions throughout the day, and it's most definitely my first love (sometimes my boyfriend takes that spot, but rarely). Some say I'm addicted, but I personally believe to just have a slighttt dependency on the magic drink. To celebrate mine, and others, codependency here's the struggle as life as a coffee dependent.
Functioning without the liquid magic is near impossible
But that first sip is like a caffeinated torpedo going through your bloodstream, and the only reason for smiles in the morning
It's especially magical if there's a seasonal creamer waiting in your fridge looking at you (Peppermint Mocha or Sugar Cookie)
You usually last no more than a couple of hours until you get the urge for another sip of your favorite drug, and it soon becomes a necessity to head to a coffee shop
Your friends and significant other know that the key to your happiness and heart, is coffee and lots of it
And your idea of a great day is finding a cool coffee shop, and spending the day inhaling cups (and smells) of quality espresso
You think of coffee as your personal safety net, and with it you can conquer the world
Which is why you immediately dislike anyone that suggests that you've had enough coffee for the day
Those people are just living life wrong, and you won't have any of their games
Your reaction when someone says that coffee is "just a drink" is immediately dislike
Because to you, coffee is life, love, and happiness
Continue on, coffee dependents. Let no one tell you that dependency on the liquid magic is bad. They just don't know what they're missing out on.
