Now, the thrill of entering college has come and gone. As the new freshmen come in, you are as good as old news but that doesn't mean college becomes any less stressful.
Here are 10 new things you can be stress about:
1. Pretending like you have your life together
I still get stressed out about enrolling into classes and navigating through Boelter like the common freshman.
2. Finding a job
Those loans will definitely come back to haunt you sooner than later.
3. Getting an internship
How do you even network?
4. Figuring out your major
I'm only 19!! How do I know what I want to do for the rest of college and my life?
5. Figuring out if you want to study abroad
Studying abroad is definitely one of those things you need to start thinking about as soon as possible.
6. You are that much closer to living on your own
Thankfully, UCLA doesn't kick us out of dorms after our freshmen year ends (*ahem* UC Irvine and UC Berkeley…), but that doesn't mean apartment life isn't coming.
7. You are, also, that much closer to adulting
Taxes? Loans? Rent? Utilities fee? Insurance? Too much adulting…#sendhelp
8. Slacking off in classes is no longer an option
No more sleeping in and missing lectures.
9. Getting close to freshmen to get those swiiiiipes...I mean for discipleship
You are no longer the newbies. Although you may not know much yourself, welcome in the new class of students!
10. Stressing out about a four year plan that may turn into five
Better to worry and plan now before becoming a super senior and paying for a whole extra year of college.
Unfortunately, the stress only goes up from here. Thankfully, you can deal with that with all the friends you made in the past year. Good luck to all rising sophomores!
