Some Of Us Struggle With Planning, And That Is Okay
It's Really Kita

Sometimes, there are some people who can do this really cool magic trick of planning their lives, their career goals, they're meals, and their outfit. That's super great! And honestly those people seem to have it going on!! But then there's other types of people. One's who don't remember what they had for breakfast and have no idea what they'll be having for lunch. They don't know what they're going to wear to dinner tonight, let alone the rest of the week! They are terrible at texting people back, because they can't plan a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g! I get it. That girl is me. I can't figure out what time of day it is most of the time because I can't plan what I've got going on the rest of the day.

But that isn't always a bad thing. The girls who live life by the seat of their pants have a crap-ton of fun doing it! We decide to do something, and we do it. We enjoy every part of it! We don't do a thing that makes us uncomfortable or unhappy. If we wanted to do any of that, we would plan it. But we don't, so we won't.

Those of us that are the "flighty" type, enjoy adventure. We may jump in the car and drive until we do not feel like driving anymore. We may have trouble saving up for our future, because we come across some experience that we just HAVE to jump on. We pack our bags as full as we can get them, because we have not a clue what all we will need for our excursions. We are known to have an "emergency bag" in our cars that have our meds, phone chargers, and extra underwear and socks. These bags are for our "oops. I didn't make it home tonight" moments.

We're also known for being messy. But listen here.... what would you rather do? Go to the beach for the day or clean your house? Yeah that's what I thought. Except that it doesn't just happen when we take random trips. We don't feel the need in keeping our home or laundry basket perfectly kept because there are far better things we can do with that time!

Lastly, we are some of the most passionate people you may ever meet! We love much and we love hard! We focus on what makes us happy, and most times we are! We give everything we have for memories. And can I tell you what, we have some amazing memories! We may not have a ton of money, but we've had a ton of life. And we may not know how to meal prep, but we live to the fullest on all accounts!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
