The Struggle of Living With Your Friends

Life is crazy when you live with friends like yours.

Doing life with three other girls is a crazy, hilarious, goofy, mix of ridiculousness. The struggle of living with them is very real.

1. You have dance parties into the morning on the regular.

It all started when you read a Dove Chocolate wrapper that said "Solve arguments with a dance off." You made up an argument just so we could have a dance off.

2. You get a noise complaint.

You can't help it that you were working on a loud school exercise that progressively turned louder. Right?...

3. You live for your suite movie nights.

This is the perfect break after a long day of classes, work, and meetings.

4. They often distract you from your school work.

The walls are thin and their goofiness seeps into your room the night before you have a test.

5. And you do the same to them.

Just when they finally stop procrastinating, you go in there and get them all distracted because you need a break from studying.

6. The ideas you all have late at night will never be forgotten.

From original songs about random words like "polaroid" accompanied with beat boxing, love game shows, and your wish to run through the fountain at night. Don't worry we haven't run through the fountain, we haven't filmed our game show yet, and we haven't officially made a record of our songs.

7. Your snapchat stories are never boring.

Yes, it might be true that nobody watches them except the four of you, but they were hilarious so you watch them again and again. The stupidity and craziness never gets old.

8. The battle over who gets to sit on the good couch.

"First come, first serve," may you live on.

9. The study sessions are a blessing.

Being able to study with your suitemates, perform for them, and ask them homework questions makes life so much greater.

10. Having family meals together is a treat.

Whether you have family meals in your little kitchen or you all eat together in the cafeteria, you almost always have a meal buddy.

The struggle is real when you hardly get any sleep because life in your suite is crazy, but college wouldn't be the same without them. You wouldn't have it any other way.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
