It’s that time of year again, Valentine’s Day. When you have to frantically search for the perfect gift for your significant other. You’re stuck doing it last minute because between classes and work you have no idea what day it is. If yours is anything like mine, they’re near impossible to shop for. The next few weeks will be filled with trips to the store and looking online, but how can you possibly find them the perfect gift. The stages of buying your significant other a Valentine's Day present is something that all who have to go through it can relate to.

When you realize that valentine’s day is only a few weeks away.

This is when you realize that you need to start looking. It sneaks up on you, I mean wasn’t Christmas only a few weeks ago? You spent months looking for that gift and have no clue how you’re going to even compare to it.

When you start looking for that gift and realize that this is a near-impossible task.

You finally start you process only to realize that it is one of the hardest things that you need to do right now. I mean how are you supposed to handle class and finding the perfect gift.

All the stores that claim to have the perfect gifts are just selling lies.

You get excited when you see the signs so you go to the store and start to look and realize those stores are just selling lies. They have nothing even close to the perfect gift and you start to think about giving up and just buying them candy. I mean who doesn’t love candy.

You start to think about just buying their favorite candy and calling it a day.

I mean candy is kind of the typical gift for valentine’s day. Everyone loves candy! It brings and joy and is sweet, kind of like you, so it would remind them of you. But then you think of the perfect present they got you last year and you realize that candy is not the way to go and the hunt continues.

Finally, you find that perfect gift!

Maybe you just walked into the store to look for something for yourself or you had given up but out of the blue that perfect gift finally appears. You jump for joy and could cry you’re so happy. Another Valentine's Day down and the perfect gift has been bought.

Valentine’s day is always super hard, Christmas just happened and you put all your effort into finding that gift. But now this other gift giving holiday snuck up on you and you’re stuck searching again. But not to worry we are all feeling the same pain as you and that perfect gift will jump out in front of you and you will kill it this year.
