1. Clean up
With time being very limited to study and finish work, nobody can afford any hiccups along the way. The best way to avoid them is to take a little bit of time cleaning up your space and ensure that you can access the essentials instantly.
It may sound cliche, but you'd be surprised at how messy things can get when you really look closely. In other words, make sure the basics are covered before the stress kicks in. It's the little mistakes that can build up and ultimately affect your progress. Future you will thank you.
2. Stay active
When the stress does kick in, you're going to have to find a way to release it. Coffee doesn't help with that. I know that from experience. That's why it's crucial to get some exercise every so often just to take your mind off things.
Our minds are not built to work for long periods of time without rest. After all, one of the good things about finals season is Spring. Warmer weather means less cabin fever. You'd be surprised at how some fresh air can really help clear your head.
3. Get excited
Remember, it's the end of the semester! Summer's coming soon, and people's missing Summer tweets and posts are finally being satisfied. Making Summer plans is a good way to cheer yourself up, so give yourself something to look forward to.
Maybe a music festival or a trip to the beach. There are a lot of possibilities to make Summer 2018 full of memories. Though the greatest memories start with some form of plan. It'll slowly put you in the right mindset to get work done and finish the semester strong.
4. Focus on the task
I know that many students are always looking at the number especially when it comes to predicting final grades. It just doesn't work nor does it help at all. The more you focus on the numbers the less you focus on what determines those numbers, to begin with.
You're not being tested on grade calculation. You're being tested on the material you've been working on all semester, and we all know how it hard it can be to recall all of that information. So focus on that, not the numbers.
5. Sleep
By far the most important tip. I don't know about you, but I cannot function without getting sufficient rest. Some people can, but success is so much more likely with a rested mind rather than a caffeinated one.
Sleep is good for you. I don't understand why people sacrifice it for other activities. It kind of makes sense when you're studying for a test the next day, but at that point, cramming just seems counterproductive. If you can't solve a problem sleep on it.
