We've all been there. Stressed about our classes or our jobs, being in a fight with your parents, friends, or significant other. Right now, for me, I'm taking an intense winter class while also being apart from my boyfriend. It sucks, but I always make sure I have things to calm me down when things get overwhelming.
1. Take a hot shower or bath.
I know for me personally, taking a hot shower can really relax me. There's something about the steam of the hot water can just really calms me down.
2. Go for a walk or run.
Just getting out of your house/room can help so much. Being in the fresh air and getting all that tension out can be really helpful.
3. Read a book.
Sometimes just putting your work down or turning your phone off and picking up a book can be helpful. You're able to forget about what's going on in your life and go into a whole new world.
4. Eat a snack.
I'm sure if you're busy with something or stressed, you may have forgotten to eat. A small snack can make all the difference.
5. Watch your favorite movie.
Take a break... watching something that will make you happy, or maybe one that'll make you cry.
Everyone's different and everyone handles stress differently. Sometimes you just have to try different things and find what helps relax you.
