In the past couple of years, many people have used a streaming service such as Netflix or Hulu. Netflix and Hulu's popularity has risen a lot, and lots of people are switching to these services because they are a lot cheaper than your typical cable service. Also, some of the best shows go on there as well as movies that are always there for people to start watching, stop and then pick up right where they left off, and one gets all of that without any commercials or limited commercials.

Speaking from a personal experience, the amount of live TV has been dramatically reduced because most of the shows I watch nowadays all come from a streaming service. It is a lot easier to watch what I want when I want. Having the ability to watch a show or movie whenever I want is such an improvement over live TV because there is no having to set the DVR to record a show or having to sit down at a certain time to tune into the show live.

In this day and age where everyone has a lot to do and are always busy with something going on, it is nice to be able to go on and watch an episode of your favorite show whenever you want. If someone has a lot of time then it is also nice to have the ability to sit down and watch multiple episodes of the show.

Netflix and Hulu do a nice job of constantly updating their content with new seasons of shows as well as adding new shows for people to watch. Nowadays both Netflix and Hulu are even making their own shows. These shows offer no dip in quality of a cable produced show as well. In many cases, these shows have become some of the most watched shows around as well as the most talked about.

Now Hulu is offering an option where the subscriber can watch live TV on through their service. For example, this year's NBA playoff games can be streamed through Hulu. This is just one of the many live TV options it has available. That being said it is more expensive than the regular Hulu service, but you get both Hulu and all the options that it offers as well as the live TV options like live sporting events.

There has been a constant decrease in cable subscribers in recent months, and the best guess is that those lost subscribers are switching to other options like Netflix and Hulu. This is because of the cheaper cost but not the lower quality of content.

Due to this high change in popularity, it is clear that these streaming services have started to kill TV, and if cable companies don't change it will continue to do so.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
