Here's How I Stopped Drinking Mochas
Medical News Today

Hello, fellow mocha drinkers.

I know how hard it is to give up chocolate-y coffee, I do. I mean, I only started drinking coffee because of Starbucks's Peppermint Mocha: where else was I going to get such rich chocolate flavor and a boost of much-needed caffeine? Not in a hot cocoa, I can tell you that much! Nor in a bitter black coffee without any cream or sugar--that's a little too much for me, honestly, though everyone and their mother tells me that one day I'll like coffee straight from the pot.

That day has yet to arrive.

However, one can grow a little tired of mochas, and that's where my own experimentation comes in: just for you, I've tried out non-mocha drinks in order to see which are the best. Was it a struggle? Yes. Did I find a new favorite coffee? No. But I did find my second favorite coffee, which I count as a success. And what is that new brew to enjoy? It is, drumroll please.....

The humble iced coffee.

Specifically, sweetened iced coffee. I'm not cool enough to drink just iced coffee, so I ask for some sweetener and a splash of half-and-half. The first time I tried it, I was a little shocked--where's the whipped cream?--but as the day went on I found that the coffee taste grew on me and that--surprise, surprise--my coffee crash wasn't nearly as bad later in the day when I wasn't also drinking the equivalent to an entire chocolate bar. Who knew, right?

Overall, mocha drinkers, I say that you should keep doing you. Drink that sweet, sweet elixir. I certainly will not judge you. However, if you ever need a break from coffee-flavored hot chocolate, try out a sweetened iced coffee: you might just be surprised!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
