Whenever we travel to a destined country the first thing that often people want to see and visit is the "historic attractions." Are these "historic attractions even that historic? We have damaged the beauty of historic sites by making the site look "modern."
While going on a tour during vacation, your tour guide will show you some sites that are historic to the particular area. They will also give you a brief historical description about the designated area. However is that designated area even that historic anymore?
It is not because we constructed it so that it can still have a historic view. More than leaving it to look historic we want the area to look modernly acceptable. By making it look this way we have completed the mission of building it to look modern and to fulfill our needs.
All we do to these beautiful original sites is damage them. We end the originality of these sites. Once we have done our part of damaging, we get happy with the new modern look.
Then we call the site "Historic."We also come up with a modern historic description for all these sites. By changing the view every now and then we have lost the privilege of calling these sites historic.
We should stop damaging these sites. We shouldn't need to change every little or big thing to fit our need. Let us all raise our voices against the construction of historic sites. Once we lose those sites, we lose a part of history that was built and lived on.
We should keep these sites historic. When keeping the sites in their original form, you can learn so much. You can also know how the designated area was used in the old ages.
Doing this can also help keep and spread the history. Every building and site we come across does not need to look modern. Especially sites and buildings that have been built year s back.
We need to take this idea of giving a modern look to everything we come across and remove the thought of constructing it. By constructing this original sites they will longer be called historic and will no longer hold the originality that they came with. We don't need every building and every site to be picture perfect. By losing history we are losing stories of the past. Stories which can come back to life.
