Be kind every day. Make every day a mission to do a "random act of kindness". Make it a daily act of kindness instead. Stop letting labels choose what we do in life. Devoting a day to kindness is a beautiful concept, but ask yourself: if we were kind every day, would we need to devote a day to this?
Probably not.
Integrate kindness into your everyday life. It will have its benefits.
1. Our brain needs kindness to survive.
Animals and humans were designed to take care of each other. Actively being kind will make our brains focus on building compassion towards others.
2. Practicing kindness will make you happier.
When we make people smile, our brain creates dopamine. Dopamine is the "happy drug". Become an addict of kindness and you'll take notice of how much happier you become.
3. Being kind is contagious.
Did you ever hear the quote, "Treat others how you would like to be treated."? They don't say that for nothing! Being nice to others is literally contagious! Give a compliment to someone; that person will give a compliment to another person. It's a full circle. It will get back to you. Be the start of the circle.
4. Start by being kind to yourself.
You have to be kind to yourself before you can be kind to others. Adapt daily self-care habits and learn to love yourself!
Make those random acts of kindness daily acts of kindness. Being liked is much more beneficial than being average. If you can step out of your comfort zone by adapting kind habits, you'll become happier and you will impact people around you.
A common fear among humans is to die without impacting the lives of others. Take control of that fear by being kind.
