Summer might be swiftly coming to an end for many of us, but this does not mean our summer anthems have to go with it. Summer '16 brought us the multi-lingual pop-tinged jam "Don't Mind" by DJ Khaled protégé Kent Jones. The tongue-twisting single topped the charts for most of summer and taught us how to spit game in every tongue from Japanese to Haitian Creole.
Not quite ready to let the track fall into memory just yet, Canadian producer STINT is revamping the song on a remix to hold us over until Summer '17. The now LA-based producer who boasts production credits for Nao, Gallant, AlunaGeorge, and more, reimagines the hit-single with a slew of creative devices including vocal distortions, room commanding synth breaks, and 808. Topped off with a boom-bap drum line and STINT's makeover of "Don't Mind" emerges as the peak-hour pick it was born to be.
