Yes, I Still Have Acne In My 20s — I'm Starting To Think This Will Never End

Most people experience acne as they go through puberty. Some people, like me, continue to experience it afterward.

I have tried Proactiv, I clean my face every day and yet I still experience acne.

There are many causes of acne, such as greasy foods touching your face, environmental involvement, etc. There are some people that partake in all of those things and still do not experience acne.

I hope one day my face completely clears up so I do not have to worry about trying to hide blemishes.

I have absolutely no advice about how to get rid of acne because if I did my acne would have been gone a long time ago. I am in the same boat as everyone else and I admit it is frustrating.

We go through life trying to look our best and yet we are stuck with this.

Yes, we can go to the doctor and they can prescribe things but they do not always necessarily work out as well so sometimes we just have to deal with it.

Acne does not define me though. I have had people comment on my acne in years past and nowadays I just shrug it off if it happens. I cannot change the way I look but I can change my attitude about it like some people need to.

I write a lot of articles about being accepting and realizing that each individual is their own person and I will continue to preach that because people need to learn. Commenting on someone's acne is just another ignorant thing that people do.

I envy all of the people who stopped having acne after puberty. And even the ones that did not experience it at all. They are the lucky ones but it is what it is.

One day my face will be clear. I just hope it is soon.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
