A Step-By-Step Guide To Getting Over A Broken Heart
Carly Rae Hobbins

After a breakup, it's important to make sure that your heart heals properly, and the perfect way to do that is by following these steps.

Step 1: Beg him to get back together.

Let him know that he’s the one and that you belong together. If that doesn’t work, proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Write him a lengthy letter.

In this letter make sure you have DETAILS!! Tell him everything, let your heart pour out and make sure he knows that he’s your one and only. If that doesn’t work, proceed to Step 3.

Step 3: Send him photos of the two of you happy together.

Make sure you look fantastic in all of the pictures. What doesn’t say, “We’re perfect for one another” than a super cute picture of you both? Now…if this doesn’t have him back…Step 4 will surely get you back together in a jiffy.

Step 4: Post at least 30 relationship quotes on your social media.

This is a MUST. You have to let everyone know that you’re no longer in a relationship and you’re thinking about him. Oh and make sure he sees it, it’s okay to tag him in it. If this doesn’t have him crawling back, then proceed to Step 5.

Step 5: Call him crying, and if he doesn’t answer leave a voicemail.

Keep dialing girl, he’s bound to answer eventually. There’s no way he won’t come back if he hears you crying, it’s the perfect way to hit him right in the feels. But if he doesn’t answer, Step 6 will help you recover from this small setback.

Step 6: Watch sad movies.

The sadder the better. It’s helpful to make yourself more upset, it builds character and cleanses the soul. If the movies don’t do the trick, Step 7 will.

Step 7: Listen to sad, sad music.

You know break ups happen to everyone, but somehow singers just hit the nail on the head. Let the tears fall. After you’ve dried up all of your tear ducts you’re ready for Step 8.

Step 8: Find a rebound.

There’s no better way to hide your actual feelings than by ignoring them and finding a handsome distraction. After this step, you’ll probably miss him more and be angry at him for making you feel that way, so Step 9 it’s your time to shine!

Step 9: Get a tattoo of his name with a broken heart.

Nothing says I’m over someone like a tattoo. This is your magic fix to this whole situation. A permanent reminder that your ex broke your heart and that you kinda loathe him. But, Step 10 is a MUST.

Step 10: Don’t follow any of these steps.

Do not do any of these things…honestly, it’s a joke, just like your ex.

If you’re trying to heal a broken heart, there’s really no way to fix it other than to give yourself time to heal and to get over someone Time...lots of time. But, what’s great about having time is that you’ll be able to grow and learn to love yourself even more than you did before.

It’s also extremely important to be with friends and family. But most importantly, you have to laugh. It’s the best medicine, and the best advice I can give.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
