Once Thanksgiving Break comes to a close, it can get tough to stay motivated and get pass the finish line of finals.

Nonetheless, below are some friendly reminders as to why you should stay motivated and crush those finals.

1. Santa's coming soon, duh!

Nobody wants to come home just to tell their parents the bad news of how they did poorly on their finals. Remind yourself that Santa will be arriving soon to deliver you some great gifts for doing so well on your finals.

2. All of your late nights of studying will pay off because soon you will be able to sleep in every day.

During finals season, there is no such thing as sleep and the library suddenly becomes your home. Remind yourself that once you ace that test, you will be able to hibernate and sleep for a full month without any worries. It is so worth it.

3. After these exams, you will be able to indulge in all of your favorite homemade foods.

When stressed out, we all wish that we could have a little taste of home opposed to the school's dining food. Do not forget that you will be surrounded by all of your favorite foods and will certainly be able to treat yourself to your town's best donut place.

4. Remember that your dog is rooting for you to do well and come home soon.

There is no doubt that your dog is laying in your room wondering when you are going to come home. Soon, you will be able to cuddle with your dog and not have to worry about anything else except for how relaxed you are when you're home.

5. Staying motivated and doing well boosts your confidence to continue doing well in semesters to come.

There is no better feeling than viewing your grades and seeing that you did well. Motivate yourself so that you can get that feeling of excitement. Be proud of yourself and crush your finals!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
