4 Easy Ways To Be Productive Over The Summer

I know what you're thinking- summer is supposed to be your time to relax and decompress from the stresses of school. No one wants to do more during the summer unless that "more" is drinking more mojitos or going on more summer trips.

However, I am a strong believer of taking any and all free time you have and making the absolute most of out it! If you aren't productive over the summer, you will miss out on so many chances to grow and better yourself and your future career. Also, if you don't stay productive over the summer, it will be harder to get back in the swing of things when school starts back up.

Here are some of my favorite ways to stay productive over the summer.

It's important to still wake up at a reasonable time. 

While summer is seen as a time to relax, sleep in, and just enjoy not having much to do, it is still important that you wake up at a reasonable time. A "reasonable time" can be different for everyone, but try and be up by 9:30 am or 10 am, at the very latest! Sleeping the day away and staying up all night will ruin your sleep cycle!

Get your life organized!

Take this time where you don't have any other major obligations to get your life organized! Sell those clothes that have been laying around, clean out your closet, deep clean your apartment, or whatever else you've been telling yourself you'd get to.

Make some money. 

Get a summer job! You can do anything from selling your old clothes, babysitting, starting your own lawn mowing business, or washing cars. Do something to keep you busy and make yourself money at the same time! #riseandgrind

Pick up a new hobby!

This is the perfect time to get into exercising, to learn how to knit, or to learn how to craft. Use this "free time" to be productive and learn how to do something you've never had the time to do!

I love working out, it makes me feel great. It helps my mood, sleep schedule and I just feel overall healthier. Recently I wanted to focus more on my glutes than I previously had been. At the gym, I would just go to the squat bar to do my thing and call it a day. But since we have been home in quarantine I feel like squats just aren't doing it for me but even if I love doing them. Doing squats I always have felt does more for banging my thighs than it ever did for my butt. It made them so big, which I didn't mind except I felt it made my butt look pretty much the same. Straying from squats, and the fact that gyms will probably remain closed for a while, sent me on a fitness journey to see what other exercises I could do at home with no or very little equipment needed.
