Some people think they have a boring class but some of us have a painfully boring class. There's nothing necessarily wrong with the professor who teaches it, they may very well be a nice guy. But man, sometimes they just speak in a monotone voice, sometimes they're just not an engaging lecturer.
Either way, maybe you can't drop this class because it's a requirement for your major or it's just too late to drop. Besides that, you find yourself falling asleep every time you come to class and sometimes you don't even realize you've fallen asleep until it's too late. It doesn't even matter what you're online shopping for. You could shop for books, clothes, random stuff on Amazon, Target.

Do we ever really get enough of compulsively checking our grades to see if there's an update?
4. Work on the homework assignment
If you find that this class has busy work assignments, do them while you're in class, that counts right?
5. Work on assignments for your other classes
Let's face it, you're probably taking too many classes anyways and you might as well multitask and get more work done.
6. Daydream
Sometimes you just need to be in la-la-land for a bit to keep yourself awake.
7. Plan your next vacation
This will definitely keep you awake because who doesn't love planning out a vacation or two.

Text your mom, your roommate, your friends from back home, your siblings, everyone basically. It's even better if you have iMessage set up on your computer because efficiency.
15. Sip on your coffee
If all else fails, trust your dandy espresso and hope it can pick you up during class.
Now I'm not telling you not to pay attention in class, just throwing out a couple tips when you find yourself dozing off and can't snap out of it.
