Are you listening to your own dreams?

Start Living And Stop Merely Existing

Life is not meant to be work all week, wait for the weekend, and pay rent. I may not know much, but I know one thing. There is a burning passion inside all of us. This passion is what keeps us moving. It is a gift. A dream.

Now I may be hated for a second, but give me a chance before you to argue my statement.

Martin Luther King Jr. did not have a dream. Yup! I went there! No turning back now. You see, the dream had him. He didn't just wake up one morning and say "I think I'm going to start change." The burning passion inside of him said change needs to happen. He listened to that dream and didn't push it off and say "someone else can do it." Listen to that passion, that dream. It chose you. Whether it's riding your bike across the county to raise money for those who need it, or it's going to school to be an artist. That passion chose you.

Now, yes, people can decide not to accept the challenge of the dream, but since we were children, life has provided us with the motivation to carry on. Yes, since we were kids. "Row, row, row your boat" is the perfect motivation that we have had all our lives. It is time to sing! "Row, row, row your boat gently down the stream! Merrily, merrily, merrily! Life is but a dream!"

Call me crazy, but the human body is more than fifty percent water. So let's think of that as the stream. Use all your power to push yourself , but not in a stressful way. Be happy and follow your dream. Mind blown. I know.

I ask one thing of you. Don't sit back and ask, "What if I fail?"

Okay, yeah, you might fail at first. Maybe even two or three times, but you have to move on and become stronger. You'll never know what will truly happen if you don't try. If you ask anyone what they regret most in life, you're going to get something along the lines of "I regret not doing [insert something here]."

The main thing is not doing it. If you're questioning on if you'll like college or not remember that even some of the most successful people in the world hated college.

Steve Jobs dropped out of college and became how successful? I don't even have to tell you and you most likely already know that he was a co-founder for Apple. These are two huge companies one man founded starting in his garage with hardly any money. He listened to the passion inside him and never gave up.

Start living, and stop just merely existing. Once you listen to the dream and passion inside you, you will have started living. Yes there is doubt and failure, but push through and never give up. You are never alone.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
