1. Remember who you are.

When you're going through rough times, it's really easy to lose sight of who you are. But, at the end of the day, you're capable of becoming whoever you would like to be, and your life is completely in your hands.

2. Decide to never give up.

That's the first step to success. Once you decide to never give up, well, then, only good things can come from here.

3. Do things that you love.

Whether it's watching your favorite TV show even though it seems as though you have absolutely no time to fit in even your most necessary assignments, or it's eating your favorite snack when you're supposedly on a "diet," just go for it, sis.

4. LOVE yourself.

How can you expect someone to love you if you don't love yourself? Love is everything, and self-love is a very prominent part of finding confidence and happiness within yourself.

5. Write down the things that you love most about yourself.

This always helps! Whether it be 3, 5, or 10, recognizing the best parts of yourself offers major healing power.

6. Talk to people, make new friends, and form new relationships!

7. Love the heck out of others.

Maybe it's just me, but loving others makes me happy!

8. Dress for confidence.

9. Believe that you are amazing at everything that you do.

Who cares if you suck at dancing, or playing soccer, or singing, or reading? Make the most of it! Not everything has to be taken uber-seriously. If you believe that you're amazing, chances are, you will get there. Positive vibes are everything.

10. Be overconfident.

You can never be too happy. Thus, the same goes for confident. Confidence is beauty!

11. Remember.. what other people think of you is none of your business.

So why would you let it affect you? Do you, boo!

12. Work HARD to get what you want in life.

It'll be so worth it the end, and you can be like, "I did that!"

13. ALWAYS follow your dreams.

It feels so good at the end of the day! The feeling after bombing a test is the absolute worst. But what about the feeling after you know that you studied so hard, gave your all, and knew exactly what you were doing on a test?

14. Never let go of your goals or settle for less than what you want and what you exactly deserve.

You have one life to live. Live it. You have only got this one shot to create the perfect, best, most exciting, happiest, loveliest life ever. Use it to your advantage!

15. Never let your mistakes affect your future.

We make them for a reason.

16. Become EXACTLY who you want to be.

It's all in your hands, love!

17. Write down compliments that people give you!

Maybe I'm weird, but I genuinely write down, in my iPhone notes, almost every single compliment that I receive from others, especially the ones that make me smile the most. Whenever I get down, I pull out these notes and get reminded of that compliment and it makes me instantly happy again!

18. Give EVERYTHING your all.

Go hard. Whether it be a math test, English homework, running, gym class, even just doing your makeup. Give everything your all. Because... why give anything less?

19. Get closer to the people that you love.

It feels so good knowing that someone's always got your back at the end of the day, regardless of whatever you do.

20. Let go of the past!

If you cannot touch it, then why let it touch you?

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
