15 Stages Of Watching A Baby For The First Time

If you have older siblings, cousins, or close family friends, you may have been asked to babysit their new borns.

If you have had the wonderful experience of watching the cute little babies, you'll know what I'm talking about as I walk through the first time I babysat my niece.

1. 6:30-7:00 A.M.

I arrived and my niece had just had breakfast. My sister walked me through where all her things are before she heads out to work.

2. 7:17 A.M.

My niece throws up all of her milk, all over me, all over herself, and all over the couch. The day is starting out great.

3. 8:12 A.M.

After a quick change (for both of us) we settle into the couch and get our snapchat game on.

4. 8:40 A.M.

I feed her again, since her breakfast is still splattered all over my dress.

5. 9:40 A.M.

Major Key Alert: I change my first, huge, poopy diaper.

6. 10:22 A.M.

Omg, she's crying.

7. 10:25 A.M.

I try to use the automatic rocker to get her to stop crying, but can't figure out how to turn it on.

8. 10:28 A.M.

Figured it out!

9. 12:43 P.M.

Feeding time x2

10. 1:00-2:00 P.M.

Nap time (finally getting some work done.)

11. 4:45 P.M.

Made her laugh for 20 minutes! So cute!

12. 5:00 P.M.

Her dad stops by to go for a run, and she wants me to keep holding her!

13. 5:20 P.M.

We're both in-and-out of sleep watching Spongebob, who knew I could get so tried playing with a baby all day?

14. 6:00 P.M.

My sister comes home and all three of us have dinner together.

15. 6:05 P.M.

She throws up her dinner, it's come full circle.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
