It is common knowledge that early morning/afternoon football games are definitely not a crowd favorite. Especially when the average temperature for that day is well into the high 90's. But somehow we get ourselves out of bed and "game ready" to root on our favorite teams and schools. Here are just some of the stages we might endure well in the process of attending the game.

1. Waking up to a blaring 8:00 (maybe earlier) alarm. When the alarm goes off at the crack of dawn you think to yourself there is no way I have to wake up already. But sadly, it is indeed the time to wake up and you lay in bed as long as possible before dragging yourself up, and out of bed.

2. Realizing that you have to shower and get ready to leave in less than an hour. And you thought the waking up part was bad. You ask yourself how in the world am I supposed to be ready to go in less than an hour. You suddenly start to rethink your choice of attending the game. But then you pull yourself together and tell yourself you're a champion in the department of speedy makeup and hair.

3. Reminding yourself how much you love your team. You know that once you get past your selfishness it is for the team, and you have to be able to support them. Although it can be hard, your team needs you there and you know that. When this conclusion has been found, you are finally convinced that it is time to go and you're ready to cheer on the team.

4. Finally seeing how good you look, and knowing it's going to be a good day. Everything is easier to deal with when you realize how all your hard work of getting ready has finally paid off. You give yourself a nice pat on the back and are very proud of how everything turned out.

5. Getting to the game and realizing it's actually blazing hot outside with the sun beaming down on you. When you show up in an all black dress you know the day is going to go down hill quick. You're definitely rethinking your decision of whether or not to stay the whole game. But alas, you find a glimmer of hope when a sliver of shade is found and you can recoup there.

6. The game is finally over and your team collected a win, but so did you because now you can go home and indulge yourself in your bed and a nice snack. After all of your hard work and dedication, you can finally take a second for yourself to get it together and realize the good deed you did by going to the game. Congrats you made it through the terror of an early morning game!

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
