Oh, early morning classes, they are quite painful sometimes. Let's be real, in college, your sleep schedule is ALL over the place. So whether you are waking up for a 7AM or a 9AM, your morning may look a little something like this. One of America's favorite sitcoms explains mornings quite well.

Let's start with the night before. It's all fun and games until you realize it's well after midnight and you aren't asleep yet. When that happens, your reaction will be...

1. Shock.

Once you have survived this pain and actually fallen into a deep, sweet, comfortable sleep, you are soon rudely awakened by that dreadful alarm, when that happens you are not thrilled. Which brings us to our next stage in the morning...

2. Anger.

Ya' know, I can say that I may or may not have actually said this to my alarm at times. It is a S T R U G G L E when you are awoken to that dreadful noise.

The next step is to ACTUALLY leave your bed. This is where things get tricky and awfully uncomfortable. Odds are you love sleep, Phoebe's love song that references a Pigeon is a great example of what you may be feeling. Which brings us to the next stage of mornings...

3. Separation issues.

Now that you are out of bed, 98% of the hard part of the morning is over with, so head on over to class.

However, we all have those days where someone in class feels the need to be obnoxiously loud. When they do that, there are only two words to explain it...

4. Thoroughly annoyed.

After this, there may come a time where you have to use your brain and put effort into classes at an ungodly hour of the day. When that happens, you may realize you are actually very...

5. Lazy.

However, the assignments aren't about to do themselves. This is where being an (almost) adult comes in. Get those responsibilities complete so you can relax later one.

Once the reality sets in that you have to do this whole thing over again in 2 days, you may catch yourself...

6. Feeling sorry for yourself.

You may be looking at your future tired self, apologizing for the fact that you know you won't get a decent amount of sleep for quite a while.Have no fear though, there WILL come a point in the day where you can just hang out or rest and for that, you can...

7. Celebrate the fact that you are done for the day.

Take that nap, it's allowed every now and then.

For those of you on that early morning grind, you can and will survive. Set that alarm, drink some coffee, and make it through the semester. You can and will make it through.

Maybe even watch an episode of Friends every now and then so you can sit back and laugh a little.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
