The 4 Stages of Being An Avid Car Singer

Sometimes you just gotta belt it out

From "You Make My Dreams Come True" to "Someone Like You," there are so many great songs to jam out to in the car. Some people even love to sing while they are in the car as well, and with this, there are four stages of being an avid car singer.

1. The Timid Singer

On the road, there are so many different people going different places. How awkward would it be if you got caught singing in the car? Extremely. You might hum a little tune along to Bruno Mars, but there is no way anyone will catch you belting out Christina Aguilera.

2. The Quiet Singer

Sure, you sing in the car. At night especially. You might sing out one of your favorite tunes while you are cruising down an open road (with no one else on it), but once someone drives up next to you, you are great at hiding it. You might cover your mouth by pretending to scratch your nose, or you might hold up your phone to your ear and pretend like you are actually communicating with someone. Me? Singing? No way, I'm just screaming into the phone my favorite Adele song.

3. The Confident Singer

You might not be able to relate to the song "All Too Well: by Taylor Swift at all, but you will still sing it on the top of your lungs like you wrote it yourself. You love to sing in the car, and you don't care who sees. You aren't afraid of the judgement, and you might get a few people Snapchat your jam sessions while you sing like no one is watching.

4. The I Don't Care At All Singer

Yes, you know every part of "Bohemian Rhapsody," and yes, you will sing every part in different voices. You don't just sing in the car, you roll down your windows and sing to other drivers. You want people to join in on your fun. You sing all of your favorite hits and have a great time while doing it. Plus, you sound just like Celine Dion (if the music is loud enough). You might even sing through the whole score of "Les Miserables." Who cares, right?

To everyone who is an avid car singer like myself, sing on, my friend. Don't let anyone stop you.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
