The heavenly month of March is finally here! As Rutgers students are gearing up for the much-awaited spring break of the Spring semester, they have to undergo mini obstacles such as midterm exams, essays, and assignments. Many students have been looking forward to spring break since the beginning of the semester, and it is the ultimate week to de-stress and engage in meaningful and enjoyable activities outside of Rutgers.

What are some things that students can do over Spring Break?

1. Embark on a stimulating adventure with family and friends

According to U.S. News, the best places to travel during spring break are NYC, Sydney, and Las Vegas. Adventures should be a constant part of life and spring break is the perfect time to do so! This is actually the first break that students are getting after winter break, and I'm proud to say that we have all worked vigorously for this! As a student, I'm consistently aware of the time and dedication required to excel in college courses as well as the desire of taking a break. However, this one week break should be used as a way to further stimulate our brains and prepare us for the end of the spring semester. As a matter of fact, there are loads of events on the way immediately after we return from spring break. We have to finish strong by preparing well for final exams before we can take a longer break from college.

2. Catch up with friends from high school and your hometown

Students who dorm, like me, are not always in their hometown and hence are unable to hang out with friends and family on a regular basis. But this one week break provides these students with ample amounts of time to plan a reunion with high school friends or other family members.

3. Exercise to stay fit and healthy

Having a week off from college tends to alter a student's daily lifestyle and schedule. Most students like me tend to sleep in and stay up really late. However, I have realized that not maintaining the daily college schedule for a whole week makes it painful to resume it again once classes start! We must not forget that we have to return back to our college lifestyle after 7 days.

4. Make the smart decision to study

Spring break can also be used to catch up on courses and study ahead for exams that might take place the week we come back.

All in all, stay strong as we are steadily approaching the most awaited break from college besides summer vacation!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
