October AKA Spooky Month Is The Best Month Of The Year

Yes, I am throwing all the tea and all the shade.

You can not tell me you do not love October. If anyone was to tell me that they hate, or do not like the spooky month. I would be one of the most SHOOK people in the world. And yes 'Shook' deserves to be in all caps for this. October is the Mother of all Months, December is a strong Second though it is more of everyone's favorite aunt.

October also paves the way to December and really starts off the infamous 'Hallothanksgivemas' part of the year. October is the one month where people can embrace horror films, and start wearing sweaters because mother nature decides to 'chill out' (all the pun intended) and really bring fall into our lives.

You get to see black cats everywhere. You get to carve pumpkins, and you even get to dress up and be something you look up to, or just really like. Halloween is one of the many days where aspiring costume designers and actual costume designers get to show what they can do. Not to mention the cosplayers who make stunning and most elaborate costumes all year long get to showcase said outfits with the general public, and not just other cosplayers.

Kids also get to dress up and go trick-or-treating all night long, and teens also indulge in it despite many adults saying that teens should not be out trick-or-treating. At least the teen is not at some party getting drunk or getting involved with drugs. Everyone loves free candy, so let the teenagers have fun too. At the least indulge them and be nicer to them when they come to houses looking for candy. Which also leads me to what most adults do during Halloween and that is; go out to parties.

Now not all adults go out to parties and get drunk out of their minds, or really go out to parties in general. Some prefer to stay at home and hand out candy to the trick-or-treaters. What is there to not love about the beginning of the best three months of the year? Another amazing reason to love October is just Halloween in general.

The countdown of days to the thirty-first is a big deal in America and this year Freeform has this 'thirty-one days of Halloween' marathon going on where it is streaming all of your favorite old spooky movies and what not. Movies like Hocus Pocus, Nightmare Before Christmas, Friday the Thirteenth, and Monster House are movies that we all know and love or have at least heard about all are streaming on different channels.

There is a little bit of everything in spooky months, from Movies to quality skeleton memes on ifunny, and from jack-o-lanterns to costumes, everyone can pick at least one reason they love October.

Some love the whole fall aspect of it, things like the leaves changing, cooler weather, and rainy days. I, however, love everything about a spooky month and am totally ready to get my spook on.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
