Ever wanted to know how you could enhance your cooking skills and cook like a professional?Well look no further, here are seven tips from celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay to help you become the master of your own kitchen.

1. Keep a clean kitchen

This is the most important part about cooking says Ramsay, who suggest you have a waste bowl next to you on the counter while cooking. This will help you be able to keep everything in one place and avoid making multiple trips to the trash can.

2. Marinating meat

Marinating meat is an important step in cooking, in order to make sure your food has the best flavor. The key is to gently rub the fattier side of the meat, this will allow it to absorb the marinade more.

3. Preventing rice clumps

Clumpy rice is common but can be avoided. When cooking your rice, it's important to pour it in a colander and rinse it before you cook it. This will prevent any clumping from taking place.

4. Cooking meat

Chef Ramsay says that whenever you cook any kind of meat, it's important to let it come to room temperature before cooking it. This will allow the meat to cook more evenly and ensure that every piece is cooked just the way that you want it.

5. How to ripen your fruit faster

In order to get your fruit to ripen faster, Ramsay suggest sticking it in a paper bag with a banana and stash in a dark place. A natural gas will be released and your fruit will ripen before you know it.

6. Don't throw things away

Throwing away the bones from fish, chicken or beef is considered wasteful. According to Ramsay, the excess bones make for a really good stock. To create this stock, you boil the bones in hot water with a carrot, an onion, peppercorns and a bay leaf. You'll do this for about one to two hours and you'll have the perfect stock ready for use.

7. Always be prepared

This is the most important tip of all. When preparing to cook, have all of your ingredients out and ready to go.

These are a few of many tips that Chef Ramsay has given to help you become the best cook you can be. He even offers online master classes that takes you inside of kitchen and teaches you different techniques to enhance your cooking skills.
