A Special Shout-Out To My Valentine
Katherine Keller

Disclaimer: My boyfriend has NO idea I am writing this article about him so I can't wait to see what he thinks about it!

As Valentine's Day is only two days away, I feel like it is only right to dedicate this article to my boyfriend. No, this is not the first article I have written to praise him for how awesome he is, but every girl is going to think that their boyfriend is amazing and wonderful. We have now been together for three years essentially and there has been a recent change in our relationship in that we no longer go to the same school together. This is something many couples face and they say it was no big deal and I totally get that. But it is very different when you are used to being able to see each other whenever we want to only see each other on the weekends or on occasions.

But for our relationship, this is something we are used to. Living a half hour from each other and my boyfriend having a full-time job, it is basically impossible to see each other during the weekdays in the summertime. That is why we make the most of our weekends. You can usually catch us at some type of sporting event (we just went to the Bruins game this past Saturday) or doing something fun like shopping, going to the movies, or going bowling. I tend to always be the loser in bowling.

But even when we aren't together, we are always there for each other. Although I wish he would Facetime me more, we text and snapchat every day and always make sure to say goodnight and good morning to each other. As I always say, it is the little things that make a relationship special. As much as I wish I could see him more, I know he is having a fantastic time at his new school and that is all that I care about. Couples go through challenges but it is the strong ones that make it work.

Like any girl on Valentine's Day, I just want my boyfriend to know how special he is to me. Thanks for being there to make me laugh and letting me vent my problems to you. I can't wait to see what our next adventure is going to be together! Happy early Valentine's Day, you the man!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
