Your First USC Football Game: Told by the office

It's about to be that time of year again. The sun is shining, Columbia has reached grossly hot temperatures, and college students are making their way back to campus, ready for another year full of South Carolina shenanigans.

That being said, Fall really only means one thing when you're a gamecock... and that's football season. With the first home game upon us, everyone is stocking up on Pedialyte and getting ready for a day full of good, clean fun. So whether you're a rookie freshman, or a seasoned veteran senior, here is how your first Saturday at Willy B will probably end up.

Wakey wakey!

You'll wake up around 8 a.m., way too early for a Saturday. You'll be mad at first, but once the first sound of Sandstorm plays you will have no problem jumping out of bed and getting your day started.

The Outfit

Then it's time to pick out what to wear. Do you go classic black dress and cowboy boots? Or do you change it up with some shorts and a cocks crop-top? Either way, you're going to sweat off all your makeup anyway so really don't even bother.

The most important meal of the day

Now you're not going to think it's important, but it is. Eat breakfast. Whether it's Chick-fil-a chicken minis, or maybe some Bojangles chicken and biscuits, it will 100% be the least nutritious breakfast of your lifetime, but it will be great.

Uber important...

Once you eat, you'll want to Uber to the tailgating lots... at which point you will realize you don't have remotely enough money to pay for the surcharged price to get approximately two miles. May the odds be ever in your favor when it comes to actually getting to the lots.

The Lots

Whether it be the frat lots, memorial, or the fair grounds, you finally get there and realize that there are way too many people trying to take over this college city. So prepare yourself to elbow some people, and get shoved around all while trying to find your friend that's standing two feet away from you.

...and everyone around you is probably falling over drunk...

Finally, it's kickoff. The sounds of Williams Brice Stadium take over your entire body. Sandstorm is blasting, rally towels are waving, and football season has official started.

Forever to Thee

So here's to the best season, under a Carolina sky. Go Cocks.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
