In my life I have often been asked, "What's wrong?" and "Are you mad?"
People have even thought that I hated them. I laugh and shake it off because I don't hate anyone. I just have this thing called "Resting Bitch Face" (RBF) and I'm here to say, sorry, it's just my face.
Here is what I want everyone to know about RBF.
1. Most likely I don't hate you. In fact, I don't hate anyone. Having this face and being shy is just not a good combo. It's not even that I don't like you. I just might not know how to approach you.
2. Everyone thinks I'm mad all of the time when honestly it's just the face I was born with. I don't show a lot of expressions. Really I could be having the best day ever and someone could still ask me what's wrong.
3. I get annoyed when I get asked for the thousandth time in a day if I'm mad. If I'm mad, I'll let you know. But until then, please just remember, I can't help it if I look like I'm mad about 99% of the time. It's just the way God wanted me to be.
4. Sometimes, there are certain people I don't like. That's when this face comes in handy.
5. With RBF comes sass. I'm sorry if I'm mouthy, but I have to have a tone to compliment my face. On the inside, it's nothing but love. I love and care about so many and sometimes a lot more than I should. But I also can instantly switch to my RBF and become the sassiest person ever. Sometimes it's a blessing, and sometimes it's a curse.
To all of the girls who are the same way, keep holding your head up high and own that "Resting Bitch Face." To those of you who don't have this problem, please keep in mind not to judge us "bitches" by our covers.
There's a lot more to us and who we are.
